El profeta Ezequiel recibió una visión increíble. La Escritura dice que la mano de Dios lo llevó a un monte muy alto, cuando un hombre se le apareció "cuyo aspecto era como aspecto de bronce." (Ezequiel 40:3)
Por supuesto, el hombre no era otro que Cristo mismo. Él introdujo a Ezequiel en la puerta de la casa de Dios donde dio al profeta la asombrosa visión del futuro del pueblo de Dios. Puso de manifiesto lo que el cuerpo de Cristo será cuando el fin de los tiempos se acerque. "Él me trajo de nuevo a la puerta de la casa [el templo], y he aquí aguas que salían de debajo del umbral de la casa hacia el este..." (Ezequiel 47:1).
Imágenes de agua en la Biblia casi siempre representan al Espíritu de Dios. Esta visión claramente revela un gran derramamiento del Espíritu Santo en los últimos días. La visión fue tan abrumadora que Ezequiel no podía comprenderla. Ni siquiera podía hacer comentarios sobre su significado. Todo lo que podía hacer era informar sobre ella. De acuerdo con Isaías, en los últimos días el pueblo de Dios va a disfrutar de una gran protección contra todo ataque satánico: " Ningún barco de remos surcará sus aguas, ni barcos poderosos navegarán por ellas" (Isaías 33:21).
Isaías está hablando aquí de los buques de guerra impulsados por esclavos. Él nos está dando una imagen del enemigo, el diablo, en su intento de lanzar un ataque contra todos los que nadan en el río. Ésta es una imagen muy confusa.
Dios nos aclara en estos pasajes que sus aguas vivas están fuera del alcance de Satanás. All I could do was report it. In fact, before the vision ended, the Lord stopped him and asked Ezekiel, "Have you seen this?" God was asking, "Do you understand the magnitude of what you see?
